Kevin Fritson has been in practice for 25 years, and became a partner of Weatherby-Reynolds-Fritson in 2003 after completing the PE exam in April 2002. He is a registered Civil Engineer who has experience in many forms of residential materials and specializes in architectural design.
Upon taking and passing the PE exam in April 2002, Kevin joined Terry Weatherby and Grant Reynolds in July 2003 to become a partner of Weatherby-Reynolds-Fritson (formerly Weatherby-Reynolds Consulting Engineers, Inc.) Prior to becoming a partner, Kevin worked part-time as a Junior Engineer for Weatherby-Reynolds Consulting Engineers as well as maintaining his own custom-residential design practice. Mr. Fritson also holds a California Contractors License and has been associated with numerous construction firms over the past 25 years in the Calaveras and Amador County areas.
Kevin has been primarily responsible for the design and engineering of numerous custom residential projects. These projects have incorporated a variety of materials including conventional wood-frame construction, rammed earth, straw-bale, timber-frame, and structural insulated panel construction techniques. Many of these homes utilize passive solar techniques and site integration and range in various locations from the lower elevation Valley region to high snow load areas such as Bear Valley. Kevin has also been responsible for many light commercial projects in the area including numerous winery projects. Because of his extensive experience in the Mother Lode region, he is familiar with the local codes and design requirements involving both conventional and alternative construction methods and materials and can incorporate his past construction experience to produce creative, effective, and efficient designs and engineering solutions.
